Position Overview:

The Videographer/Editor is responsible for shooting and editing creative video content to showcase products, services, and the corporate culture for our company. This includes video content for training, sales, social media, and marketing materials for all departments. In this role, you will have opportunities to participate in the creative process developing video content (and occasionally other media) for Sales, Dealer networks, Marketing, and the retail public.

To be successful in this role you should possess a creative mindset, the ability and patience to work through big-picture ideas, a knack for storytelling and a creative eye, fierce attention to technical detail, along with strong organizational and communication skills. Occasional contribution of your voice and on-screen personal talent may be requested.

Responsibilities:

Must be able to:

  • Communicate and collaborate proficiently with various departments regarding video requests
  • Editorial of long-form and short-form content
  • Organization and archival of project assets (includes maintaining media raids and the backups and archives of content on the raids)
  • Passion for staying current with the latest graphic trends and editing styles and generate new ideas to draw audience attention.
  • Contribute in development of scripts, storyboards, production scheduling, coordinating set production, conducting research, while meeting overall production schedule deadlines
  • Schedule shoots, set up and operate cameras, lighting equipment, microphones and any other equipment needed, and monitor and adjust equipment during recording sessions
  • Review all raw video materials and create rough and final cuts, to ensure project requirements and needs are met
  • Manage the development and production of video and still photography content on time, within budget, and scope
  • Design and create graphics for use with photo/video projects
  • Shoot and edit still photography
  • Manage detailed project plans from strategy/launch to execution/optimizations, assembling the right stakeholders for collaboration, support and approvals
  • Understand products in detail, grasping mechanical design and understanding how they work in order to build training resources
  • Understand overall business goals, marketing priorities, branding and culture
  • Upload and maintain video library on internal sites
  • Self-starter and ability to work on multiple ongoing editorial projects while providing a stress free demeanor to coworkers
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, good organizational and time-management skills
  • Work closely with production team to ensure brand consistency for all projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in a related field
  • Experience in video creation and editing
  • Working knowledge of shared media raids over multiple workstations
  • Strong ability to write clear, concise, and grammatically correct content
  • Experience with audio, video, lighting and photo equipment
  • Proficient in Adobe Production Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition) or other relevant software and MS Office
  • Ability to listen to others, direct talent, and work well as part of a team
  • Upon request, provide voice overs along with live and recorded presentations which require clear speech annunciation and professional presentation skills
  • Versatile, flexible, and confident communication skills, active listening and diplomacy with business partners, project owners, managers, and team members
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deliver desirable solutions within timeframe and budget

Physical Requirements:

  • May spend part of the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen and part of the workday may be spent performing video and photo shoots. Must be able to lift and carry camera and accessory equipment and able to attend, move, and complete video shoots
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Standing, sitting, squatting, walking, kneeling, stooping, crouching and reaching out to arm’s length and reach overhead
